This monastic community serves the Church and shrine of St Edward the Martyr, and tends a small Orthodox Christian cemetery in the old plot 39. The larger of the two main buildings was originally built as a second Anglican chapel (c1909-10); it is now used as the Church and shrine of St Edward. The smaller building was the original Anglican chapel, designed by Sydney Smirke for the opening of the Cemetery in 1854; this has been converted for parochial purposes and living quarters for members of the Brotherhood. The community was formally established in Brookwood Cemetery in 1982.
The Brotherhood now has its own Website. Click here to access their site.
