The Society operates the only official Company-approved guided walks around the cemetery from March to November All donations go towards Historic memorials restorations. The Society was founded in 1992, and our volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and have many years' experience of the cemetery and its history. Please contact us if you would like to join our happy band. Introductory Walk - South Side - 2pm Alison Vince will take you to notables on this side of the Cemetery
Join Jon Leech as he unlocks some of the cemetery’s notable mausoleums and tells the stories of those within.
Symbolism Walk - 2pm The Victorians placed great importance on symbolism on their graves to help the living mourn and ensure their loved ones went to heaven. Alison Vince will help you understand these symbols.
London Churches in Brookwood – NEW WALK -2pm Jon Leech will lead a walk on the south side revealing the many and varied connections the cemetery has with London.
Local People – North Side – NEW WALK -2pm Kim Lowe will introduce us to a range of familiar and unfamiliar names of people who lived in and helped shape the local area.
May 3rd - 2pm
Railway Walk – North & South Side - 2pm A very popular walk where we follow the route of the Funeral Train with John Clarke.
Plot 28 – Lucky Dip NEW WALK - 2pm Kim Lowe will delve into the lives and stories of a range of interesting people who all lie within a small section of the cemetery.
Scientists - 2pm Alison Leech will tell us about eminent scientists, all Fellows of the Royal Society, with subjects ranging from fossils to geology, wine to solar cycles!

Parking is available inside the entrance. Refreshments and toilet facilities are available at the Society Lodge We ask for a donation when booking All the money raised from the donations goes towards Society restoration projects. Brookwood Cemetery is near Woking, Surrey. It is adjacent to the A322 Guildford - Bagshot Road (Junction 3 off the M3). The entrance to the Cemetery is off Cemetery Pales, a road joining the A322 near the Brookwood cross-roads. See our location map. The postcode is GU24 0BL.
